22 have died in Iraq in last 4 days – did anyone tell you?

I am betting that they didnt and here is why……a Republican Senator was caught having cybersex with a 16 year old Congressional page. Yes, its big news, and yes, its absolutely disgusting. BUT..

22 OF OUR NATION’S SOLIDERS HAVE DIED IN THE LAST 4 DAYS IN IRAQ

This President’s failed policies keep killing our men and women for a “war” that no one can win. And all we keep talking about, all the media is talking about, is that a 50-something year old man cyber’ed with a 16 year old. Disgusting? Yes. Do I hope that THIS scandal finally sticks and the Republicans fall in defeat in November? Yes.

But seriously, media…we have lost 22 more soldiers…how about a little mention? Just a tiny footnote? Anything?

    Wow! Funny how stuff like that happens. Makes you wonder why it was leaked now? Even though Foley’s a Rep., he has taken the spotlight away from the deaths.

    I dunno, would the repubs like to have 22 deaths in the news (maybe hoping we have become immune) or the tawdry liasons of a rep with some 16 year olds…. me thinks it is a rock and a hard place.

    Though the foley thing is more about the congress and less about the bush, so that may be good for the bushies.

    Savvy- Its amazing what the news decides is newsworthy….its never what I would think would be!

    Dawn- They would rather have death as they can at least explain it away; “the difficult war, trying times, stay the course”..but a protected pedophile is a bit harder to explain to the American people.
