Free video guides for travel, restaurants, hotels, local events & music

This site is one of the coolest things I have ever seen on the internet. TurnHere.com is a site dedicated to short films about cities around the world, sent in by the people that live there. These are all amateur videos showcasing different aspects of their cities, from bars and nightclubs, to baseball stadiums, to historical landmarks. When I found TurnHere.com, the teacher wife and I spent a few hours watching the videos of both the places we have been, and the places we want to go. For me, watching all the videos from my hometown brought back fond memories..and a reminder that it is freezing cold there sometimes! So far they have videos from about 80 cities, both here in the U.S. and overseas, from Portland, OR to Tokyo, Japan. These are all very well made, and absolutely addictive!

Be sure to check out TurnHere.com when you have a few hours to spare, as you won’t be able to look away.
