Target Is Selling Decently Priced Organic And Bamboo Bedding.

May 21, 2007

Oh what a pleasant surprise looking through Sunday’s paper. In the Target ad, they have a page designated as “Natural Home Choices” that have a few organic and recycled items for your home. On this page, there are 100% organic cotton and 100% organic cotton and bamboo sheet sets on sale starting at $19.99. Not a bad price at all, considering that most other places sell the same thing for upwards of $75.00. If you do not have a Target by you, they are also selling them online right here. The dyes are environmentally friendly too, which makes this an even better product. They also have organic cotton towels for $7.99 and recycled rubber door mats for $9.99. Seems like Target is jumping on the “eco-friendly” bandwagon and is realizing that their customers are going to start wanting these type of products. While I try to fully support Mom and Pop stores whenever we can, I don’t have many around selling these type products and at least Target is making these accessible for everyone.

Of course, keep in mind that the most environmentally friendly thing you can do is to keep the sheets you already have for as long as possible…and then replace them with organic cotton ones. But if you cannot wait, this is a good place to start.
