I Am Looking For Info On Composting In An Apartment.

media977en.jpg

Some might consider this going a little too far, but my wife and I have been talking about the amount of food scraps we throw out every week that should be put to better use. We are starting to look into a composting unit for our kitchen and although there are a ton of choices out there, I am afraid to take the plunge without some kind of review from someone.

So if you have experience with any of these “indoor” composters and would like to send it my way, please do so. I am curious about smells and the amount of time it takes to turn scraps into useful compost. I am open to the kinds that you turn yourself, get turned automatically, and/or have red worms in them to eat the scraps.

Thanks and look forward to hearing your thoughts on this!

I’ve been looking into this as well, so I’ll be interested to hear what you find out.

You know those ones they sell where you have to drain off the liquid (and you can use it as fertilizer)? Some enterprising soul sells the liquid stuff at our local farmers market.
