My New Shoes – Simple Green Toe Jam.
Lovely name for some shoes, no? I just got these shoes 3 days ago from Simple Shoes on sale for $33, down from $85. I guess since it is getting close to the end of summer they went on sale, but living in Southern California gives me a long time left to wear them! These shoes are so comfy and since I needed a new pair of sandals I figured I should go with the “Green Toe” version. They have Jute uppers, a natural latex pedbed with a cotton canvas cover, a natural crepe outsole, water-based cements and 100% post consumer paper pulp foot forms. In fact, the packaging says I should just put some dirt in them and grow some flowers when I am done with them, no recycling or throwing away required, they just biodegrade. Anyway, now that my wife saw them she wants some so it looks like we will be ordering another pair soon. There are a bunch of other shoes on sale as well, so if these aren’t your bag, take a look at the other ones.
