This is the first time that I have had a chance to comment! Happy birthday a day late by the way :-) as an environmental health science major, I am always teaching my son about the importance of recycling and we use very minimal plastic here for foods in particular. Another thing I do is I explain to my 4 year old why we are recycling or not using a particular dish or toy. He actually undestands most of the time. If parents would take 5 minutes to explain... I love reading your blog. This is the first time that I have had a chance to comment!
