Thanks for the info, great article. I gave up all meat and don’t miss it.

I was totally disgusted when I learned more about “Rendering plants” and pet food. It’s bad enough what they try to feed us humans but if you do a search for:
rendering plants pet food
you may be ashamed to see what they are peddling off on our pets. Not a pretty sight.

Meet you in the vegetable aisle… Just Say NO to ‘Meat.’

Thanks David for your comment. I was hoping for a more detailed analysis. If a fine mist were used, the volume of water might not be that much; maybe not much compared to other water uses in the house; but if for example you used a gallon of water for each gallon of oil saved, doing so would make a lot of sense; maybe not so in desert areas.

Second of all, that pink slime article is intense. I don’t think anyone who reads it is going to think twice about not eating those burgers.

It’s appalling what passes for “food” sometimes.

It seems to me that many of us could save a lot on air conditioning costs. I’m thinking of running a hose to the top of my house and fixing a nozzle at the top. At the bottom I would install a timer and pressure adjuster so that a thin mist of water sprays on my roof for 15 minutes every hour from 8am to 8pm. Will this work? What pct of cooling dollars would I save vs cost of water. Seems to me that the evaporation of the water would create a lot of cooling. I would welcome comments.
