Al Gore has apparently irked the biofuels lobby by suggesting during a panel discussion at a green business conference on Monday that his earlier support for corn-based ethanol subsidies was a mistake. I said this 3.5 years ago.

The Amtrak Heartland Flyer makes daily runs between Oklahoma City, OK and Fort Worth, TX. Back in April, the Heartland Flyer received a decal indicating that it was to be fueled with nothing but B20 (20 percent biodiesel and 80 percent conventional diesel). From that day forth, the GE locomotive, burning only B20, continued its daily runs without fault.

Recently I was given the opportunity to screen Cool It, a documentary based on the works of author and environmentalist Bjorn Lomborg. Lomborg takes a similar moderate approach to the idea – the title of the movie refers not only to curbing global warming however we can, but also calls for cooler heads to prevail on the topic.
