My friends over at The Greenists are running a giveaway for a pair of Patagonia shoes.

A new report from the United Nations Development Program warns that if drastic measures are not taken to prepare nations for the impacts of climate change, the economic progress of the world’s developing countries could stall or even be reversed by 2050.

Why Is the State Department Using Our Money to Pimp for Monsanto? The State Department is using taxpayer money to help force genetically modified crops on other countries.

Controversial ‘fracking’ technique to extract gas from the ground was the ‘highly probable’ cause of earth tremors, report finds Two earthquake tremors in north-west England earlier this year were probably caused by controversial operations to extract gas nearby, a report by the company responsible has concluded.

And finally, some good news – Last week Travis and I learned that our local Farm Service Agency would consider us for a beginning farmer loan! The beginning farmer loan is specifically designed to help farmers start up a new operation and purchase land. The loan will fund up to $300,000 for a piece of land.

Have a great weekend everyone.
