When fighting a battle against acne, too often doctors immediately prescribe toxic drugs in an attempt to placate their patients. In addition to being toxic, some of these anti-acne drugs have been implicated in suicide attempts by users. Is this the best we can do when trying to deal with acne and other skin issues? Hand out drugs that may not just harm you but may also kill you? Thankfully it is not, as there are many inexpensive and food-based natural acne cures that may just do the trick for you, sparing you from toxic ingredients and chancy meds.
While not everything will work for everyone, chances are that you will be able to find a natural acne cure using just ingredients you may already have in your cupboard or refrigerator. Check them out:

I am not a health expert and I am certainly not a dermatologist. Let’s make sure no one thinks otherwise! But in doing some research online, I found that there are plenty of ways that people are reducing or eliminating their acne using only natural foods and ingredients. These ingredients are either applied directly to acne, mixed together to create pastes, diluted with water to make face washes, or turned into natural masks one can make at home to combat acne.
It’s up to you to take charge of your health and skin and determine what works best for you, but you can use these ingredients as a starting off point for tests and research. Before trying anything, I highly recommend you test your concoction on your wrist or some other inconspicuous location to test how it reacts with your skin. In addition to these natural ingredients, there are several other ways you can combat acne as well.
Other Ways to Fight Acne
- Drink plenty of water
- Eat more vegetables
- Reduce daily intake of dairy
- Use natural, organic, non-toxic face soap
- Reduce or stop using makeup. If you must use makeup, try a natural makeup
- Avoid sunburns and all-day sun exposure by using a safe sunscreen. I use Badger SPF 30
- Wash your hair regularly
- Keep your hair out of your face
- Wash your sheets and pillowcases more often
- Stick to a Paelo diet
However you choose to deal with your acne, I would advise doing everything you can to try to find natural acne cures before resorting to toxic prescriptions. What’s the use of working so hard to get clear, healthy skin if you are going to just pump yourself full of chemicals? Acne can be a very difficult condition to deal with, but with some research and testing you may just be able to use a natural acne cure that is safe for you and for the planet. Use prescriptions as a last resort and try out some of these cures first!
