Today is Random Acts of Kindness Day

February 17, 2014

“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” – Aesop

At The Good Human, we recognize that there’s so much more to being a worthy inhabitant of this planet than obligatory recycling and conservation duties. Today, February 17, is Random Act of Kindness Day — the perfect excuse to show your fellow Earthlings some extra TLC. (Not that you need an excuse to be kind, of course.)

Whether you pay for a stranger’s coffee at the café, throw a few extra quarters in a random parking meter, or help someone carry their groceries, doing something nice for others with no strings attached is an awesome way to spread some good karma. One kind act usually begets another — so if someone does a random act of kindness for you today — or any day — be sure to pay it forward. And just think — your one act of kindness could start a chain reaction of good will that takes on a life of its own.
