With the holidays coming up and because of the fact that I will be away for almost 2 weeks around Christmas, I am starting to prepare some posts for while I am gone. With that in mind, is there anything that you, the readers, have questions about? Subjects you want covered? Toxic chemicals you want examined? I know for a fact that there are at least 700 of you who are subscribers, you cannot fool me! If you have any questions/content ideas, please just leave a comment or send me an email. And if you are a writer looking to write a guest post, those are welcome as well while I am gone. Let me know!

  1. Hey, would love to hear your thoughts on population “control” as a means to address climate change. I haven’t heard a lot about this. I know there are ethical issues with telling people how many kids to have (or taxing them on it), but perhaps religions organizations (e.g., Catholics) can “influence” people by their recommendations?

I’m also curious as to how much of a lever population is in climate change…do all of the projections change if we assume population doesn’t grow at all?

    Thanks,

    RYan

  2. If you’d like a guest post about green building (commercial, not residential) give me a holler, that’s one of the things I do for a living. I’m a relatively new subscriber but would be interested in reading your opinions on “green” in other countries/states you’ve visited.

  3. I would actually be curious to see what your thoughts are on alternative battery sources such as sugar-based, or bacteria based and other emerging battery-related technologies. Thanks! and Happy Holidays!

  4. Keep the comments coming guys! I will keep reviewing this post as time goes by and will address some of your thoughts, etc in upcoming posts. I truly appreciate it and guinness416 – would love a post about commercial green building! If you want to chat about it, send me an email: david AT thegoodhuman.com

  5. I’d be interested in posts on home materials (such as paint, drywall, etc) and green alternatives. My husband and I are fairly new homeowners, and I’m uncomfortable using the products I know are toxic, but don’t know where to begin looking for alternates. I’m also interested in information about setting up a composting system in a small space (our backyard is tiny, tiny, tiny). My husband is really interested in DIY solar power systems.

  6. i’d like to hear more about green clothing. my own approach to this is pretty much just the second “R”–reuse (as in, buy mostly used clothing) and reducing my overall consumption, but i’d still be interested in sustainable clothing materials.

  7. I’m wondering if anyone has done the research to determine what the correct proportion of various essential oils to water or vinegar would be to do a certain reasonable level of germ cleaning. For instance, you offered “1 tsp tea tree oil to 1 gallon water.” This smells great, but how effective is it compared to 1/2 tsp, or 1 tbs? Has anyone tested different levels? The same question pertains to lavender, rosemary, neem, grapefruit, grapefruit seed extract, clove, cinnamon, and so on. I haven’t found anything on the web yet.
