  1. Giving up scented candles and plug-in air fresheners was one of the tougher changes -toxic items for me. In addition to the tips above, I use essential oils in a tealight diffuser when I was to smell something nice. Or, add a few drops of essential oil to a cotton ball and leave it in a room; one of these leaves the bathroom smelling fresh for days.

  2. We always have plants in the house, best deal. My mom particularly loves spider plants, we have one in every room. Living in the tropics has its perks, we almost always have the windows open to let the fresh air in. I should look for essential oils to complement the cleaners we made from recipes online. Cheers!
