Not much to say other than it sure is getting cold out there at night – 38 last night! Unbelievable…while I dig out a scarf, here are some news stories that caught my eye this past week. Enjoy!
Honda has just released the first official photos of its eagerly-anticipated new dedicated hybrid car that will debut early in 2009. Honda has already said that it has cut the cost of its IMA hybrid system in half for the Insight and the new Insight’s price is expected to start in the neighborhood of $18,500. Fantastic!

Gov. Panel: Bisphenol A in Plastics Could Harm You – Chemical May Affect Prostate, Brain and the Development of Fetuses, Infants and Children, and No. 7 plastic baby bottles, three- and five-gallon water bottles, certain food containers and other items, including the lining of cans, may contain Bisphenol-A. I wrote about the dangers of BPA back in January if you are interested in learning more.
It’s the big idea. It’s the American Dream. We’ve made it if we have our own basketball court or tennis court or swimming pool. We have this idea that each of us should own everything for ourselves…What a waste it is if we’re using these resources in ways they don’t even make us happy. What a waste if, on top of that, we’re spending our days to pay for these useless resources.
If you or your children have any of these tagless clothes pay special attention to any rashes or sores that may develop in the area where the tag is. I cannot confirm if these labels do in fact PVC or phthalates but I would err on the side of caution myself. If these labels are causing chemical burns then we know whatever it is”¦is pretty nasty stuff.
