Dawn over at Frugal For Life has a great post up about recycling that now tired Christmas tree.
Some of her great tips are:
-Use the branches and needles for mulch and throw the rest of the tree into your pond or place to the side of a river bank to cut down on erosion.
-Trim branches off and place them over perennial beds to reduce frost heaving caused by freezing and thawing. Use the trunks to create sturdy, homemade trellises or tomato stakes.
I highly recommend you read the article and check out the rest of her site, there is a lot of great info over there!
