This giveaway has ended. A while back Edward from Liquid Bottles – “Saving The Earth In Style, One Refill At A Time” – sent along a few samples of his company’s aluminum bottles for me to review and giveaway – and the time has come to do so! I have two bottles to giveaway and look for the details on how to enter at the bottom of this post. These bottles are 1 liter sized and have a larger opening than normal aluminum bottles to allow for adding ice to your beverage and for easier cleaning. I know how hard it can be to clean some of these bottles because of the opening size, and these would be much easier to use. They also have larger than normal hooks on the top, which makes them easier to hang from your gym bag or your hiking backpack. Priced at $14.99 on their site, these aluminum bottles are less expensive than many comparable ones on the market as well – and saving money is always a good thing. They are also free of that lovely toxic chemical BPA – and we know how important that is as well. Overall, these are some great bottles – and if I didn’t already have a few of my own I would love to have one of these. And right now customers can get 3 bottles for $29.98 or from now through the 15th customers can use coupon code promo20gh to get 20% off their purchase!

This giveaway has ended.Winners will be announced on Saturday the 13th in the morning. Good luck, and thanks to Edward from Liquid Bottles for providing these 2 bottles to give away to you guys!

  1. I’d love to win a bottle! We have a bunch of plastic bottles but we need to start looking at what those bottles are made of. This would be a great start in switching out the plastic.

  2. I just put one of these on my Christmas list! I love the wide mouth and would love to have one for each person in my family. Getting one for free would be a great start. I’m drinking filtered tap water these days instead of buying all those plastic bottles. I could go through one of those in about 10 mins and then I’d feel so guilty about using it even if I was throwing it in a recycle bin. Such a waste of energy! Don’t even get me started on the BPA!

  3. I’d love to win one of these for a number of reasons. I’m a college student, and since I don’t want to spend what little money I have on bottled water or support the bottled water market, I usually don’t drink enough water. My boyfriend and I are going to be taking physical education classes next semester and start exercising together, so I’ll be needing a good, dependable water bottle. With no income it can be difficult to live green, so this would really help!

  4. I wasn’t sure at first if “Liquid Bottle” was either redundant or some new incredible ingenuity. I have my own “permanent” bottle, but want the kids to have their own. Still working on converting the family from the “convenience” of store-bought bottled water, and this would help me help them.

  5. I’ve been needed one of these for a while. Making due with reusing glass snapple bottles, but they are always too small and I’m worried they might break. (Which would suck because then I’d have to buy more snapple, and I hate snapple)

  6. I’m back on my Weight Watchers program and walking the treadmill in the gym after work 4 nights a week. I usually bring water with me but by the time I get to work, the bottle is warm. I could put ice in this one and it would still be cold by the time I started my workout. I’m also trying to be more green and have been refilling water bottles I get from the store.

  7. I’d like to win one because I finally bought a couple reusable bottles last summer for my family. Now we’re recognizing that extras are just too expensive, but we’d be encouraged to use them more as the current ones have their “places” (like work, DD for dinner table, etc) and often aren’t easily moved around or else we lose track of them.

  8. I’m trying to get my parents to go green and, as encouragement, am getting them a handful of Christmas gifts designed to help in this regard (reusable bags, rechargeable batteries, etc.). They have a truly insane addiction to buying cases of the plastic bottles–I have been laying the groundwork for months and will stage an intervention at Christmas with the help of one of these bottles to stuff in a stocking!

  9. I volunteer at Appalachian Helping Hands clothes closet and the Bread Basket. It would help me to have a refillable bottle to not use so many disposable cups and plastic bottles! Thanks!

  10. I would like one because I am always drinking water at work. I got Nalgenes because I thought they were okay, then the whole BPA thing came out and now I need to replace my bottles eventually. I love to drink lots of water!

  11. I got one of those steel water bottles but because the neck is so small I rarely use it and really can’t put water in it and freeze it.
I would love to win this one with a wider mouth.
    Thanks for the offer.

  12. I would love to win this bottle for my husband. He always takes a plastic bottle with water to school, and he can still taste the plastic, even thought it doesn’t have BPA. This would be perfect for him!

  13. These are good looking water bottles. I’ve been working on ensuring that my kids and grandkids have safe and reusable bottles, now I need a couple for myself.

  14. I would love to have one of these. I recently had weight loss surgery – so I am constantly carrying around something to drink.

  15. ah, very nice. I just bought a stainless steel bottle from kleen kanteen. my sister liked it so much that she wanted one for herself. this would make a nice gift if I could get this aluminum bottle for her.

  16. I love taking my water along with me. This would be great to eliminate plastic bottles since I could fill it with my own filtered water. Thanks.

  17. I reuse plastic water bottles and I’m not sure what they are made of – I’ve also been told that you are really only able to reuse it so many times. I think it would be great to have one of these bottles…then I wouldn’t have to worry about what the bottle is made of or how many times it can be used & I can use it anytime and anywhere!

  18. My husband and I are in the market for a good water bottle for each of us for kayaking and other activities we do outdoors. It is somewhat confusing as to what is good and what is bad and with the expense involved, we just keep using our old bottles that are probably the bad plastic type. So this would be a great way for us to try one of the good ones and enspire us to purchase what we need from a good company.

  19. oh I would love one. My best friend lives in Asheville and you would think living there she would know better then to stay on BPA bottles but I cant afford to buy her BPA free since I bought them for myself too (they are pricey) I would love to win this and send it to her! she deserves it! she is the best!

    thanks David!

  20. This would be a great win, since our daughter keeps taking my husband’s water bottle. This way they could have their own.

  21. Would love to try one of these aluminum bottles. I like the wide mouths for ice to fit in! Living in the mountains & at hi-altitude we’re always dry & taking water bottles with us on the trail and in the car so this would be nice.

  22. I would like to win so that I can use the bottle when I’m at work. We have paper cups on hand and I have my own mug and plastic water bottle, but this will ensure that I can safely drink water at my desk without worrying about spillage or chemicals in the plastic. Also, this is one more item that will help me in becoming as green as possible. Thanks for the chance to win of these fab bottles!

  23. I am teaching my children to respect the earth and reuse, reduce and recycle through example. I explain everything to them, as well as why I am doing something a certain way. We are trying to break free of drivethru pop, and this water bottle would be a great way to keep water safely in the car. My children are 7 and 3, so they are still impressionable. The habits our kids form will carry them for a lifetime, if they are good habits! Thanks and have a great day!

  24. My family uses the Sigg bottles as much as possible when we’re out and about, but I like the fact that the mouth of the bottle is wider for easier cleaning and pouring into and the larger ring on the cap will be easier for my 4 year old to hold on to.

  25. It would be great to win one of these bottles; just in time for the holidays. We have been simplifying our lives as much as possible, after the birth of our daughter and the showering of unneccesary plastic gifts and such. We are currently expecting, and plan to set even a better example with this child, by using glass bottles, breastfeeding of course, and using cloth diapers instead of throwaways. We are trying to wean ourselves off the unneccesary, the plastics and the oil:) Every little bit helps!

  26. I’d love to get my hands on one of these. I’ve been using plain old glasses at work and home, but they’re not so forgiving when you’re clumsy.

How robust are these bottles? Is there any awkward metallic taste with these? Any issues with hot or cold liquids? Are they really worth the $$? I have friends who are still die-hard Nalgene bottle users who swear by them.

  27. I love your site and have changed so many of my ways. We take water with us everywhere (like our canvas grocery bags, cloth napkins, and more) and although I have a SIGG bottle, with four of us it would be great to have aluminum bottles for everyone instead of using the plastic ones we’ve had for so long. I love my SIGG but it is so expensive and I’d love to try one of these!

  28. I would love to have one of these bottles. I am currently reusing a plastic glass that has no cover. I just know one of these days I’m going to tip it over and soak all the papers and keyboard on my desk!

  29. I, too, would LOVE to stop using plastic bottles and these are SO pretty. I would DEFINITELY be more apt to use this.

    Thanks for a great giveaway.

  30. We all should be using these bottles. I love their design. I drag water to work with me everyday and hate using plastic bottles, just absolutely hate it. I even won’t buy a bottle of water at work if I’m dying of thirst just because I don’t want to use plastic. I’m a little looney sometime.

  31. These are great – I want my kids to have some so that I can start good habits young – and bright colours will make them easier to find in the jumble of junk in my purse ( or the bottom of their toybox, in the sandpile, under the swings, in the dog’s bed…..)

  32. would like to try one,
thinking about convincing my child’s school to stop selling water bottles, and just sell these bottles at some sort of discount, so the kids can have one permanent bottle (would love to figure out a way to personalize these

  33. Schlepping back and forth to the gym and other places with a toddler in tow, I always like making sure that I have water on hand. I hate using plastic bottles given all of the waste and potential harmful chemicals involved and would love to have a couple of more bottles to have on hand to stash in convenient places so that I can avoid purchasing bottled water altogether.

  34. I have started drinking filtered tap water instead of buying all of those plastic bottles filled with water. It is one more step to being a green person, so I would love to have one of these bottles. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this giveaway!

  35. I would love this because I do alot of biking
and this would be great to hook onto my
bike while I am riding.I need all the water I can get. Thanks for the giveaway

  36. I would love to win one of these. I would give it to my parents who are always taking water with them wherever they go but they use an old plastic juice jug. This would be great for them.
