Holy. Crap. I saw this last night and showed my wife, who is a teacher…and we both just sat there staring at the article, reading it over and over again. Seems some teachers in Tennessee thought it was a good idea to tell a bunch of sixth graders that a gunman was on the loose and after them, in order to “teach” them what to do…except they did not tell the students it was fake. They even had one of the teachers dressed up with a hoodie sweatshirt covering his (or her) head, pulling on the locked door where the kids were.

Staff members of an elementary school staged a fictitious gun attack on students during a class trip, telling them it was not a drill as the children cried and hid under tables. “The children were in that room in the dark, begging for their lives, because they thought there was someone with a gun after them,” said Brandy Cole, whose son went on the trip.

And so far, they have not been fired. I swear, if I had a kid and he was in that class….what the hell is wrong with people?

  1. My fiance says “Doesn’t surprise me, that’s Tennessee” – he lived in TN for many many years and has many horror stories from when he went to school there. His mother eventually removed him from school and taught him at home because she was fed up with the school system there.
