Indian cooking has a rich and versatile history that stretches back over 5000 years. And in that time they’ve figured out a few things about what makes for tasty, healthy food. Incorporate some of the tips below to liven up your own food!
Many traditional indian spices – coriander, turmeric, cumin etc. – have powerful antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic qualities. Turmeric in particular has been shown to reduce blood pressure and cholesterol, cayenne pepper has been linked with weight loss and curry leaves can help maintain healthy liver function.
